Engine Managment Light

I had my light came on a few days ago and ran Vag Com I done some messing and cleared what I thought was the fault (dodgy fuse) and cleared the codes , I rescaned the car and it comes up with no faults found but the engine light is still on.

Should it turn off automaticly or do I have to do it by another method.

I point to make is address1 engine dose not scan it says can not find module on both registered 3.11 and shareware 409

any help would be great, also is there a better software to use than Vag Com on the 2.3 ( i dont mind spending a few

would it be worth while upgradeing? as it still wont talk to the engine as its a Ford lump and not a VW

as u have ford engine dont think VAG.com can clear EML. I have a OBD2 reader and i can clear my EML on my 2.3

Stevoo the reader you have , can it only read and clear codes or can it do other functions as well. for

Hey mate,

I can do the following depending on ecu limts:-

read and clear codes

check engine idle

airflow

co2 immissions

fuel mixture/rate

water temp

air temp

 

It can do more just depends on what your ECU stores.
